Our next county meeting will be Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 7:00pm at the IBEW Local 322 at 691 English Drive in Casper. This is a VIM (Very Important Meeting)!
The biggest item is our elections. The March of every odd-numbered year is when our county leadership terms expire. We will elect new officers at this meeting!
I cannot stress enough how healthy competition is, so if you are interested in running for a position, please reach out and we will get you in touch with our nominating committee, Joan Brust and Robert Johnson. It doesn’t matter if someone else is running for the same position. If you’re interested, please throw your hat into the ring. The only qualifications are that you must live in Natrona County and you must be a registered Democrat.
More information on position descriptions can be found in our bylaws.
Everyone is welcome at this meeting, regardless of whether you’re a Democrat, Independent, or something else. The thing to remember, though, is that only precinct committeepeople are allowed to vote. We also have two new committeepeople to appoint at this meeting, but voting privileges are only conferred the month AFTER they’re appointed. If you’re reading this and you’re thinking you want to get more involved, one of the best ways is to volunteer to be a precinct committeeperson. If your precinct doesn’t have one, we’d love to talk to you about filling the position. I’ve posted the precincts on the website, so head over there to see where the vacancies exist!
Finally, I have sad news for everyone. Ken Tatro, longtime precinct committeeman for 8-1, passed away on January 19. Many of you knew and loved Ken, and our hearts go out to his grieving family and friends.
