The filing period to run for office is officially here! The filing period runs from May 14 – May 29. That means there is only roughly one week left to file!
It is more important now than ever to get involved.
At every level — precinct committeeperson to city/town council to the legislature and beyond — we need good Democrats to step up and run for office! Don’t worry, you won’t be alone. Several Democrats have already announced/filed runs for office!

See the following information to learn how and where to file:

Precinct Committeemen/women: There is no filing fee for precinct offices. The candidate will file their form with the Natrona County Clerk, 200 N. Center Street, Room 154.
Municipal Offices: The filing fee for municipal offices is $25.00. The candidate will file their form with the town or city clerk of their municipality.
County Offices: The filing fee for county offices is $100. The candidate will file their form with the Natrona County Clerk, 200 N. Center Street, Room 154.
Legislative Offices: The filling fee for legislative seats is $100. The candidate will file online with the Secretary of
State Offices: The filling fee for legislative seats is $300. The candidate will file online with the Secretary of
Candidate forms for the above positions can be found on the Secretary of State’s website, the Natrona County website, or from the office where the candidate files their application.
Other Offices: School Board, Community College Trustee, Fire District Director, Senior Citizens Service District Trustee, and Conservation District Supervisors filing period is August 5th through August 24th. There is no filing fee for any of these positions. Candidates will file at the Natrona County Clerk’s office, 200 N. Center Street, Room 154. These forms are available from the County Clerk’s office.
